Imagery

Some recently discovered (by me that is) visual art. Source: Lost at E Minor.

Travis A. Louie - I have two of his images on my desktop, and someone asked me recently in all earnest: "Who are those people? Family of yours?" - wasn't sure if I should take that as an insult...

Anthony Goicolea - This stuff is definitely never going to end up on my desktop - too disturbing. Great work, but it gives me the screeps. Reminds me of Aphex Twin - I wonder if one was inspired by the other.

Then there's the visual artist Sas Christian with his great big eye drawings:

And last: Sleevage.

WFS

Working on the piece Phases2 for the SuperCollider symposium coming week (yes, I'm late...). The Wavefield Synthesis system is basically a rectangle with 192 speakers lined up, and a lot of software behind that to calculate signals to go to each of these speakers to simulate sound placement in the space - not only within the rectangle, but you can also place sounds outside it. Below is my first version of the spatialization, where every line represents a path a certain soundtrack has to go through during the piece. There are about 20 tracks. I have a feeling I need to thin it out.. Somewhere in the mess in the middle there are 4 lines indicating the speaker rows.
